The marathon will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, starting from the VSSUT campus, Burla, Odisha.

There are three race formats this year:

• 🏅 21.1 KM Half Marathon – For experienced or regular runners (expected 100–200 participants).
• 🏃‍♀️ 5 KM Run/Walk – For students, beginners, and local participants who wish to run or walk for the cause.
• 🌐 Virtual 5K Run (for Alumni) – For VSSUT alumni across the globe who wish to participate remotely and show their support for the cause.

The Virtual 5K Run allows alumni who can’t attend in person at Burla to participate from wherever they are.

• Run or walk 5 kilometers on January 11, 2026 (or within that weekend) at your own location.
• Track your run using any fitness app (e.g., Strava, Garmin, or any GPS-based app).
• Upload your screenshot to email id vssutmarathon2026@gmail.com or activity link via the online submission form (to be shared).
• You’ll receive an VSSUT Logo engraved medal, VSSUT T-shirt, a E-certificate of participation and your name will be featured in the Global Alumni Finisher List.

Anyone aged 15 years and above can join. The event is open to students, faculty, alumni, local residents, and all fitness enthusiasts.
